Combined selection(Advanced search)(Search and selection) In the advanced search, you can search by any criteria, and also combine search criteria. Please note that, here too, a general preset exists if all criteria types are required. This can be selected by choosing the 'AND' setting. In practice, different selection types are combined for the purpose of further narrowing down the result set. One practical example would be a search for all newsletter subscribers with a migration background residing within a certain postal code area who have expressed interest in learning a new language - to whom you would now like to offer a language course. Thus, each contact you want to find must meet the following criteria: - they must subscribe to a particular newsletter (selection according to newsletter subscription) - they must be from a certain country of origin (selection according to country) These are four selection types, which can be combined via the 'AND' setting.
